"Marketing and Regions" Business Unit
Veolia Transport's "Research and Regions" unit offers various decision-making tools to help planners better address these increasingly complex issues.

Bilbobus
A More Legible Bilbobus System in Bilbao
With a population of nearly one million, Bilbao is Spain's fourth-largest urban center. Veolia Transport's recommendations to make city buses more legible were persuasive to municipal authorities. In 2008 they awarded Veolia Transport an eight-year contract to manage the Bilbobus system. Coordination of service has improved, thanks to computerized management and new driver-dispatcher communication links. All signage was redesigned and real-time rider information was introduced. Ticketing will also be revised to make tickets easier to use and shorten boarding and alighting time.

Bridging the Gap: pathways for transport in the post 2012 process
In 2009, Veolia Transport launched "Bridging the gap : pathways for transport in the post 2012 process", the voice of sustainable mobility in the international climate change negotiations, initiative in partnership with UITP, TRL, GTZ and ITDP.

Créabus
Design Your Own Transportation with Créabus
Créabus, a minibus whose route is determined by pooling rider requests, lets customers create their own public transit.

Dialogue for progress
In a radically changing industry and a rapidly changing urban environment in which passengers are becoming increasingly demanding, Veolia Transport wants to rally all its employees everywhere around a single service model.

Digital Mobility
Passengers' new mobility expectations lead to an increasing demand for integrated and interconnected mobility services. Information and communication technology have enabled a new perception of travel.

Establish procedures to protect the environment
Using its Environmental Management System (EMS), which has been deployed in 889 transportation systems in 24 countries since 2001, Veolia Transport can make very precise measurements of the impact of its activities and its environmental risk management.

Foothill Transit
Foothill Transit: Veolia Takes On a Transit Authority Role
In Summer 2010, Veolia Transportation will team up with Foothill Transit to begin providing an Ecoliner all-electric bus service in Los Angeles
