Veolia Transport Installs Defibrillators

It is heartwarming to see your transit operator install defibrillators!

For greater efficiency, the defibrillators were installed in strategic locations to promote rapid response and optimize passenger safety. Bus depots, the emergency responder scooters for the TVO route and the Argenteuil and Sartrouville bus stations have all been equipped. One bus route (15 vehicles) has already installed defibrillators and another four will do so by the summer.

Some 734 employees, including bus operators, ticket inspectors, bus station reception staff and site personnel, are gradually being trained in first aid and defibrillator use.

A provider of daily services and effective resources in our service areas, Veolia Transport is mobilizing to help save lives.

Without immediate care, more than 90% of cardiac arrests prove fatal.

Each minute of delay in starting defibrillation decreases the chance of survival of heart attack victims by another 10%.
