Connex announces the acquisition of Yellow Transportation LLC based in Colorado (United States)

Connex North America, a subsidiary of Connex in the United States, is developing its operations on the American market with the acquisition of the Yellow Transportation LLC holding company in Colorado.

In Denver and Boulder Yellow Transportation LLC now runs 22 airport shuttles, over 400 taxis and employs 135 people. Yellow Transportation LLC made around 8 million euros in turnover in 2003.

The acquisition of Yellow Transportation LLC comes on top of the recently won contract in Colorado to operate urban services in the city of Denver as of January 2005 and strengthens Connex's position in this region.

Connex North America operates the rail network in the suburbs of Boston, the fifth largest network in the United States and the rail network of Los Angeles as well as urban and inter-urban bus networks in the cities of Washington DC, Los Angeles and in the states of Connecticut, New Jersey, Texas and North and South Carolina.
