SNCM is one of the major operators in passenger, vehicle and freight transportation in the Western Mediterranean. All year round it provides regular services between the French mainland and Corsica, as well as international connections to Sardinia, Tunisia and Algeria. The public ferry network between the Corsica and Marseille ports is based on the "regional link" principle.
The goal is to maintain this link between different areas by ensuring reliability, punctuality, profitability and service quality while also strengthening the economic and social development of Corsica with minimal negative environmental impacts.

- Provide a reliable and secure ferry service by maintaining a large and modern fleet that is IMO safety compliant with the International Maritime Organization's safety requirement.
- Continue efforts to preserve the sensitive Mediterranean maritime environment.

- Meet commercial and material needs of freight customers: punctuality, enhanced information in case of disruption of the service, new roll-on/ roll off terminal, regular communication operations that target customers and measurement of customer satisfaction.

- Introduction of a new brand "Via Corsa" to promote Corsica and maritime activities in the area, and promotion of maritime services.
- Establishment of Veolia Campus in Corsica with development and training programs, dedicated to maritime activities and engaging in social dialogue to increase career opportunities.
Offering an improved and innovative service
- Anticipation of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
- Strengthened commercial action plan with new combined products and services, further development of sales system in Corsica, improved customer relationship system targeting prospective and returning customers, monitoring system of quality service and customer satisfaction.
