Challenge

SuperShuttle provides door-to-door shared-ride transfers to and from airports across the United States, in Paris, France and Stockholm, Sweden.

SuperShuttle is a fully commercial activity where customer satisfaction is key to increasing loyalty and developing sales. In addition, the efficiency and speed of information provided is critical for passengers as they seek to catch their flight or reach their final destination.

An early-adopter of innovation and IT solutions, SuperShuttle established a centralized call center to manage all customer contact and began taking online reservations and payments in 1995.

Objectives

  • Deliver superior customer service at every stage of the passenger experience, whatever their preferred channel.
  • Guarantee accuracy and quality of information.
  • Provide a convenient, stress-free and efficient service.
  • Manage a growing number of reservations through multiple media and contact points.

1.9 million online reservations a year, 1.7 million over the phone and constant, significant growth of smartphone and mobile web use ensuring around 60,000 bookings a month.

Taking the plane

A traveler leaving their home, hotel or current location can choose to first use the "fare generator" feature of SuperShuttle.com to confirm it is indeed the best way to get to the airport before making an easy booking however it suits them:

by telephone, a team of 150 full time equivalent staff are available around the clock where they are supported by extensive in-house training, quality processes, telephone and IT tools to ensure best-in-class service,

online, five easy steps and a simplified secure payment process ensure confirmation using Internet or mobile web,

with a smartphone, using the free SuperShuttle app for iPhone and Android, passengers can book, modify or even cancel their transfer,

reservation confirmations are automated 24 hours before a scheduled pick-up to recall the travel arrangements and put passengers at ease.

Where's my van

A real-time GPS tracker available online or using the smartphone applications give the exact location of the vehicle and its distance from pick-up location. If a passenger is offline, they will probably receive a "call out" courtesy call to let them know their shuttle is on its way.

Reliable, real-time information around the clock and 86% customers satisfied/very satisfied and 85% willing to recommend.*

On-board

Our drivers are equipped with a mobile computer unit that helps assure the customer's ride is as short and efficient as possible. The large touch screen also monitors speed and has a special emergency support button to assist drivers and passengers. In 2011, SuperShuttle also adopted Veolia Transdev's proprietary customer care training program "Going for Green".

At the airport

To book another trip, request more information or give feedback face-to-face, passengers can address one of our many airport kiosks or curbside agents.
