A dedicated team ensures we fully master our environmental impact. Its mission is to deliver an annual report based on our global Environmental Management System to measure and control our footprint and develop environmental performance.

Result: The entire system's processes have been accredited ISO:14001 since January 2005.

Our interactive carbon calculator allows citizens to make an informed sustainable choice about their mobility by measuring carbon emission savings when public transport, foot and bicycle is used instead of a private vehicle. Community communication programs are deployed to support the initiative and encourage more people to use passenger services.

In Perth, Veolia Transdev operates the latest generation of environmental friendly buses, with more than half of its fleet comprising compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles.

Result: CNG buses emit 17 times less emissions than an equivalent Euro 3 diesel bus.

In Australasia, Veolia Transdev has published and enacted a guide to enhance the adoption of environmentally-friendly behaviors through their teams: saving energy and water, recycling paper. A multitude of these eco-gestures can be applied both at work and at home.

Veolia Transdev in Perth partners with a nonprofit organization, carbon neutral, responsible for planting nearly 3 million trees in Australia since 2001.
