Veolia Transport's Research, Development and Innovation department brings the knowledge of experts conversant with the most innovative technologies in travel engineering. It also develops the most effective systems and services for transit authorities and passengers.

Research focuses on four principal areas:

  • Consulting, training and communication to keep pace with the development of transportation-related businesses and technologies.
  • Initiation in ITS services (Intelligent Transport Systems), such as studying individual travel patterns.
  • The incubation of projects leading to the operation of experimental ventures in the field, such as transportation-on-demand.
  • The creation of a database of innovative technical solutions.
