Environmental performance

Veolia Transport has set ambitious objectives to guide its daily operations

  • Reduce the atmospheric pollution caused by buses and coaches. This can be achieved with existing vehicles by using technologies that reduce exhaust emissions, such as clean fuels and post-exhaust pipe treatment. Accelerating the renewal of the fleet and introducing vehicles with the latest engine technology such as common rail diesel engines is another solution, and the use of gas fuels.

  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Reducing carbon dioxide emissions by controlling consumption, introducing systematic training in intelligent driving techniques or the replacement of old vehicle fleets.

  • Reduce noise pollution. Improving or adapting engines, tires and vehicle aerodynamics to contribute to reducing noise.

  • Reduce waste. This can be achieved by sorting and recycling waste as part of the reorganization of workshops.

  • Train employees. Protecting the environment also entails involving all employees in active environmental protection measures through specific training.

A Sustainable Development Committee has been created to ensure that our efforts make concrete progress and that these commitments are upheld.

Innovative solutions for Sustainable Development

  • Particulate filters, clean fuels, electrical power.
  • New services: transportation-on-demand, bus rapid transit (BRT)
  • Internal / external educational tools, employee training modules,
  • Diester, a renewable energy that reduces CO2 emissions
  • Lower sulfur content diesel fuel that helps reduce particulate emissions.
