Providing door-to-door services to those who need it
In the US Veolia Transport's experience includes the supply of health-care-related, on-demand services to hospitals, social services, and also to simply provide mobility in parallel to the standard transit services to those who need it. Many of these are door-to-door services.
In The Netherlands we provide services to local and regional authorities, health insurance companies and provide supplementary public transit services. Our key clients are the disabled and elderly but we also provide services to businesses. Most services are on request but some are proposed as fixed route services.
Specially adapted vehicles are used and we have developed sensitivity training which all employees must pass, to ensure that our staff treat all our customers with understanding and empathy.
Worldwide approximately 5 million trips of this type are undertaken every year.
In addition to these operations, Veolia Transport provides similar services in Sweden and Spain.
